You enquired unofficially (a) what the

present accommodation of the H.K.P.U. was and (b) what accommodation would be required for a "rear party".

The answer to (a) is that the Hong kong Unit has been allotted 14 rooms in No. 2 Park Street

The answer to house a staff of about 35 officers.

If to (b) depends on factors unknown at present. the unit is called overseas before plans in regard to supplies and personnel are reasonably finalised I estimate that a rear-party of 15 officers in the

If the call comes late War office will be required. rather than soon, and planing is on schedule, I estimate that a rear-party of not more than 3 will be required.

These answers are provisionl and necessarily largely guesswork but I trust that they may be of some help.
